I opened up my mail the other afternoon to find a tiny little package from Jen, the beautiful bride from my last post. She’d sent me beautiful handmade earrings, and a necklace, and even thought to include a sweet gift for Danielle. Man, I really do have the best clients! Sometimes I marvel at my job, because besides being able to participate in and document these wonderful celebrations, I also meet and get to know real sweethearts like Jen. She just opened up her new Etsy shop, called Joies, where you can browse all of her beautiful handmade jewelry, and check out the simply well designed packaging that holds her wares. PS. the beautiful model for Jen’s necklace was her Maid of Honor, who was actually lacing up Jen’s wedding dress when I caught that detail.

While we’re on the subject, something else very simple but oh-so-sweet was created in our house this week- my brand new husband’s delicious Sour Cherry Pie. R went crazy at the Farmer’s Market and bought a few pounds of these delicately sour cherries, so I’m excited about all of the cherry inspired dishes to come. Yes, that’s right, I married a man who loves to cook almost as much as he loves me! Lucky lucky girl, considering how much I love devouring his cooking. The heart was my contribution – I’m a sous chef in training…
