Summer loving

Well, well! This week turned out to fly by! Full of travel up and down the East Coast, meeting new people and hearing about their exciting plans, post processing, shipping out orders to clients, and shooting new engagements. Off to Philly tomorrow for a lil mini-vacation with R! The heat of mid-July tends to slow...

Simple and Sweet

I opened up my mail the other afternoon to find a tiny little package from Jen, the beautiful bride from my last post. She’d sent me beautiful handmade earrings, and a necklace, and even thought to include a sweet gift for Danielle. Man, I really do have the best clients! Sometimes I marvel at my...

Early Morning with Meena

A few weeks back, I had the chance to shoot one of my dearest friends when she came to visit me for the weekend. Meena and I met many years ago in photography class in high school when she moved from San Francisco, and we have basically remained joined at the hip (or phone) since....

*kin opening with the Dreamboats

I love how small New York City can feel at times. Walking back to the subway from a meeting, I bumped into Adam Golfer and Joe Leavenworth, who I was planning on meeting at Adam’s opening in an hour or so. Finding a familiar face in the midst of strangers, unexpectedly on the street, is...

South Carolina

Russell and I flew down to South Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with his side of the family. This was my first visit to Charleston, and I just fell in love with the Old World architecture of the stately mansions. Each house had a gate, behind which were beautiful private gardens. The Thanksgiving table was set...

Autumn in New York

Here’s a little ode to New York, and Autumn as the temperatures drop, and the season finally sets in. I’m working on editing a beautiful wedding from November, so keep your eyes open for that soon, but in the meantime I thought I’d share a couple shots from my most recent adventure in New York....

New Website Launch!

Today is the official launch of the new Lindsay MacDonald Weddings website! After much hard work, Russell and I finally finished the design and construction. Please take a moment to have a look around, and let me know what you think. I’d love all of your feedback. I wish I could serve wine and cheese...

Paradise Found

This past weekend I escaped to a small town in West Virginia with a few friends. We camped at a lake behind Drew’s grandmother’s property in Mathias. This weekend had all the perfect ingredients to summer: juicy watermelon, sunshine, jumping fish, campfire marshmallows and tons of laughter.
